Now that is out of the way..

The Health Care Debate and You:

So everyone is freaking out about this damn healthcare bill. People are worried that premiums will go up, and even more are worried about so called 'death panels'. The last time there was a death panel, it was in Nazi Germany! (I smell fear...) I do believe that the Dems are working hard on the bill, but they will recieve little to no input from the Republicans. Now we have Moderate Republicans, which isn't horrible, but it's hard to work with one another when someone in the same party has a completely different perspective on the way the party should and shouldn't make its decisions. Not only is the party having an internal fued, but more of the Democrats are starting to look like most of the Republican Moderates... Does this make any sense?! Anywho, the Senate has agreed to drop the 'Public Option', and have come to terms in which to conduct this health care debate. Are they finally ready to realize they can regulate the private sector? A few rules and regulations wouldn't have hurt us in the first place, but the Obama Admin wanted to look at this as a complete radical change in the way the health care system is conducted. (They're the experts in healthcare, right? http://www.decadentgamer.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/dry.gif). Anywho, I belive that people are blowing this way out of proportion. Though I am a Conservative Repub., I do have to agree with the Dems every once in a while, because everyone has SOMETHING in common. At least I hope...

Obama Recieves Nobel Peace Prize:
So let's get this straight. I turn on the news this morning, forgetting he even had this prize. (oops, silly me http://www.decadentgamer.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) What on earth is the President thinking when he doesn't have a teleprompter in front of him? So he recieves the Peace Prize for, pretty much being an Anti-Bush figure I guess, no one even knows why he got the award in the first place, and then he turns around and sends 30,000 troops to Afghanistan. REALLY PEACEFUL AMIRITE? The looks on the peoples faces when I was watching was something to die for, because I would have been in the back cracking up. So let me get this straight. You go to give a speech about world peace, but then turn around and talk about all the horriffic wars (In detail no less), and expect people to honor you? No. I really think the President needs to recite his speeches more or at least get a teleprompter, because this free for all speeches aren't working. Most of all, I am outraged by the speech, but it was the only thing I watched before I went to college today, which was about 1/3 of it.


Console Sales to Decline This Year?:
Unfortunately for Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo, I believe that sales will drop this year. Not only do people have little to spare this year for the holidays, but consoles are soon being outdated by new PC hardware. More portable devices are being made, and are becoming the new age of gaming. Desktops are going to lose value this year also. With jobs more on the go, people need portability. Dell's notebook sales went through the roof after Black Friday, so isn't this a sign that Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo need to step up their game? Notebooks that were crap yesterday, are stepping up their game today. Hardware that was normally built for desktops were ported to more portable versions for notebooks. Why would you buy a desktop, when you could bring your home PC or Mac with you on the go? iMac sales have also dropped due to non-portability. MacBooks and MacBook Pros are skyrocketing in the Mac scene, while more Dell and HP laptops are selling in the PC scene. All in all, the major console companies need to either build something a little portable (come on Microsoft... Sony and Nintendo already have portable systems!), or make something better. Then again, that is my opinion.
