Hey guys,

Lately as we all have noticed there hasn't been much activity from new members. I, for one, am hoping to recruit some new ones who will be actual dedicated members. So this is just a heads-up for you guys to really try and ask your friends to check out the site. I know it's hard, when we're not repaying you directly in return, but we are providing you with an amazing website with some great tutorials all for free. Plus, more members makes for booming popularity meaning more and more tips, tricks, and tutorials. In a way, it's a win-win.

All I ask is that you tell just one or two people on your Live friends list to come onto DG. If we all do this, we can hopefully start seeing tons of new topics and posts soon.

Also, let us know if there's any suggestions you want to see! :)

Threaten people... jk. Well first I think we should report game tuts (yeah stupid but something to get it taken down) so that there will be a bunch of people thinking about joining other modding sites. And I really think game tuts should be taken down especially for modio. They compiled a bunch of programs that others made and did not get their permission. THEN on top of that they made it so you had to pay for most of the programs. Pissed me off. Then they flame you and get pissed if you crack it (and they patch it) or complain. Just an idea.

LOgan, the simple fact is that we can't get it taken down. Sure they've compiled others software and sold them and whatnot, but they have too large a user base to shut down unless for a valid legal reason.

Exactly. Unless the writers of the stolen code all press legal charges, GameTuts is staying online.

Yeah well obviously. But I bet if you reported it to Microsoft that they are making tutorials and tools for cheating in xbox live games then something bad would happen

No. It really wouldn't. If anything it brings more interest to their products.

Except they've told several other sites (or rather IW and Treyarch have) to cease and desist or else they would file a law suit

They won't care about it; it's a fairly small community in Microsoft's eyes.

Anyway, back on topic..

You'd think that MS would do something considering they are using source code from the sdk.

Yeah... uhh...
I think someone from this site should... DDoS Game-Tuts or something.

Just for a day.

;)

Yeah their server is pretty shitty. It would probably go down if a couple people ddosed it. When I spammed the shit out of it, it was running a little bit slower.
