"The iPhone saved my life." - The person who said this wasn't a techie who just discovered how much better the iPhone is than his old Motorola Flip phone. Nor was he a geek who is too overly obsessed with the latest gadgets. In fact, he is a Haiti earthquake survivor, and he wasn't kidding.
Dan Wooley, while filming a documentary of the poor, struggling conditions of Haiti, had been crushed by a landslide of debris. He turned to, yes, his iPhone for help. The first thing on his list: find a proper place to wait for help. Using his iPhone camera, he took pictures of the surrounding area to view just exactly what was around him. After a few minutes, he pulled himself to a safer area for the time being.
While using the app Pocket First Aid and CPR, this young man had treated a leg and head wound....all alone....through multiple aftershocks....in an elevator shaft. The app also alerted him the dangers of falling asleep, as it could cause potentially fatal problems. Using iPhone's basic clock, Wooley had an alarm sound every 20 minutes to keep him awake.
64 hours later, Wooley was saved.
If you would like to donate to Haiti, please visit Yéle Haiti, or text "HAITI" to 90999 (USA). Haiti earthquake victims need all the care and support they can get in this struggling time of need.

Still who builds a city right on top of a plate boundary. Thats kind of stupid. And who would move there? Obviously people who don't know much about geography but yet can afford an iPhone.

What does this have to do with the post? The documentarist didn't choose to build the city there. Read the best and think about you reply next time please.
